The Umbrella Man

Written by sjmc19

A mother and daughter are suspicious of the good Samaritan who offers them the umbrella they need.

It feels like this story should have a twist at the end; it doesn’t.

With strange men, she has a golden rule which says, “The nicer the man seems to be, the more suspicous you must become.” This little old man was particularly nice.

Twelve-year-old children—the same age as the narrator—will likely enjoy the clever scheme of the umbrella man.
